Origin Story

Started as a joke at a farmer's market

We made twelve pairs for the Saturday market on Hawthorne. By 11am they were gone and three people had asked us to ship internationally. We didn't have a website. We had a Venmo.

The Spike & Snuggle Sock

Embroidered hedgehog faces, one per toe

Each pair takes 40 minutes to embroider by hand. We stitch the face on the ball of the left foot so it peeks out when you cross your legs. Three colorways: midnight forest, dusty rose, and 'what even is that colour' cream.

The Making

This started as a napkin doodle

Our illustrator (also our roommate, also the person who named her hedgehog Professor Noodle) sketched the spine pattern at a coffee shop on SE Division. The first print run sold out in four hours.

The Spine Tote
